The UK's Competition and Markets Authority investigated the veterinary sector in 2026 and found the real problem wasn't price on its own — it was ownership consolidation and a lack of transparency that made it hard for owners to know what they were paying for, or why. This site is built to close that gap: independent, free to use, with no paid rankings.

Neutral by design, not just by claim

Every other comparison site in this category frames the question as "find the cheapest". We don't. Both unusually expensive AND unusually cheap pricing can indicate something worth understanding — higher overheads or specialist equipment on one side, loss-leader offers or corner-cutting on the other. So when a listing sits outside the typical range for a procedure, we flag the direction neutrally and link to context on the range of plausible reasons, rather than asserting which one applies or labelling a practice "overpriced" or "suspiciously cheap". This isn't an anti-vet site — it's a site that takes the value of a consistent vet-client relationship seriously, alongside the price.

Advertising, walled off from evaluation

Free to use means this site needs a way to sustain itself, and insurers, pharmacies, and practices are allowed to advertise here.
