These terms cover using knowyourvet.co.uk ("we", "us"), an independent, free-to-use price comparison site for UK veterinary services. By using this site you agree to them.
What this site is — and isn't
This site helps you compare vet prices and understand your bill. It is not professional, legal, financial, or veterinary advice, and it doesn't replace a conversation with your own vet about your pet's treatment or a professional about your specific circumstances. Where a listing is flagged as above or below the typical price range for a procedure, that's a neutral, informational flag based on submitted data — not a recommendation, a warning, or an accusation that any practice is doing something wrong.
Submitted prices
Anyone can submit a price via Submit a Price, with or without giving an email address. You're responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit — don't submit prices you haven't actually paid, or details that aren't your own. Optional evidence photos are reviewed before they're published; we may reject or remove a submission or photo at our discretion, including if it looks inaccurate, identifying, or in breach of these terms.
Advertising
Some listings and pages on this site carry adverts from insurers, pharmacies, or practices, always clearly labelled as advertising and visually distinct from comparison content. An advert never affects a listing's ranking, price band, or any other evaluative content — buying an advert doesn't buy better treatment elsewhere on the site, and an advert is not our endorsement of the advertiser.
Practice Portal accounts
A practice can claim its own listing via the claim process using a genuine business email address for that practice. Claims are checked automatically where possible and reviewed manually otherwise. We may suspend or remove a claim if we find it wasn't made in good faith or by someone entitled to represent that practice. A claimed practice is responsible for keeping its own listing accurate.
Third-party links
This site links out to practices, insurers, pharmacies, and other third-party sites. We don't control and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your data once you leave this site.
No guarantee of availability or accuracy
We try to keep listings, prices, and this site itself accurate and available, but we make no guarantee of either. Prices submitted by other users may be out of date, mistaken, or occasionally wrong. Always confirm a price directly with a practice before relying on it.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, including decisions made based on a price, band flag, or listing shown here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited (such as for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes; continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms. We'll update the "last reviewed" date above whenever we do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
